Photo A local landmark, Club Green Meadows, is for sale for $29.5 million. As a condition, the next owners must keep the golf course running, preventing building development. According to the listing, which was first posted in March 2021, the 113-acre property includes a 200,000-square-foot, three-story clubhouse at 7703 N.E. 72nd Ave., west of Interstate 205. Owners Carolyn M. Grimm died in 2020 and her husband, Joseph Grimm, died in 2010. The ownership has passed entirely to The Grimm Living Trust. Grimm’s stepdaughter, Lisa Sorenson, is a trustee, according to state business records. The Columbian could not reach Sorenson for a comment. Club Green Meadows includes a three-story athletic club, golf pro shop, offices, restaurant, lounge and banquet facilities, a 30,000-square-foot fitness center, indoor track and aerobic studios, bowling alley, kids play area, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an indoor driving range, basketball courts, squash, racquetball courts and tennis courts. The listing states that a buyer “will be contractually obligated to maintain and operate a fully functioning 18-hole golf course for at least 25 years from point of sale.”

Club Green Meadows began as a golf driving range in 1960. The current building was constructed in 2000, according to the listing. The land and its surroundings were annexed into the city of Vancouver in 2017.
