Hockinson’s Liam Dunn places second in 50 free at 2A state swimming meet
Columbia River's Liam Noftsker places third in two events

Hockinson’s Liam Dunn earned a runner-up finish and Columbia River’s Liam Noftsker posted a pair of third-place finishes Saturday at the 2A state boys swimming championships in Federal Way. Dunn slightly improved up his preliminary time in finishing second in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing 22.35 seconds. Charles Hudson of Selah won the state title in 21.73 seconds. Fort Vancouver’s Tarik Kurta was disqualified from the 50 free final. Noftsker placed third in the 100 backstroke in 53.91 seconds. Dunn was two spots back of him in fifth in 55.87 seconds. Noftsker also placed third in the 100 freestyle in 47.74 seconds. Hockinson’s Parker Dangleis was sixth in 49.77. Dangleis also placed sixth in the 200 freestyle in 1:50.87.
