A man is expected to survive after being shot near a central Vancouver convenience store, according to the Vancouver Police Department. The shooting occurred about 11:05 p.m. near the 20th Street Mini Mart, at 2900 E. 20th St., according to Vancouver police Officer Ilia Botvinnik. Details about what led up to the shooting were not available, but Botvinnik said the suspects are two men who were driving a light brown older-model sedan, possibly a Toyota, that was missing a rear bumper and license plates and had a defective front headlight. Officers briefly located the suspect vehicle but its driver managed to elude them, according to Botvinnik.
