Clark County is accepting applications for two seats on the Clark County Historic Preservation Commission. Both positions have three-year terms that begin July 1. The commission reviews nominations to the National Register of Historic Places and Clark County Heritage Register, conducts design review for building changes, reviews and decides on applications for the special valuation tax incentive, and oversees education and outreach. The commission meets at 6 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month. Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, meetings are held virtually on WebEx. To apply, submit a letter of interest and resume to Michelle Pfenning, County Manager’s Office, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000 or michelle.pfenning@clark.wa.gov. The application deadline is 5 p.m. April 29. For more information, go to www.clark.wa.gov/planning/historic.
