A Vancouver man was uninjured in a fatal two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Tillamook County, Ore. Oregon State Police troopers and emergency personnel responded at about 11 a.m. to a report of a crash on Miami Foley Road near New Miami River Road, according to an agency news release. The preliminary investigation found that a southbound Honda 500 motorcycle, operated by Adam Taylor, 26, of Warrenton, Ore., crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a Ford pickup, driven by Jose Hernandez, 32, of Portland, troopers said. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene. Hernandez suffered minor injuries. His passenger, Rosalio Herrera Morelos, 54, of Vancouver, was not injured, according to the news release. Speed and motorcycle inexperience are being investigated as contributing factors to the collision, troopers said.

Miami Foley Road was closed for several hours following the crash. Oregon State Police was assisted by the Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office, Garibaldi Fire, Tillamook Ambulance and Tillamook County Public Works.
