A Hazel Dell bar owner was arrested Tuesday for the seventh time in two months, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded at about 2 a.m. to the 6200 block of Northeast 11th Avenue for reports that a pickup and travel trailer had rolled down a hill to a property, according to an agency news release. When deputies arrived, they found the trailer was registered to Johnny Forsyth 44, of Vancouver, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies were familiar with Forsyth and knew he’d been arrested six times since Oct. 29. He was arrested in the previous cases on suspicion of felony harassment, numerous domestic violence no-contact order violations, attempt to elude a police vehicle, unlawful possession of a firearm and stalking. In one of the cases Forsyth was required to wear a GPS ankle monitor as a condition of his release, the news release states. Before his last arrest on Dec. 17, deputies said they tried to contact Forsyth because his ankle monitor showed he’d violated the no-contact order multiple times that day. Deputies said Forsyth drove away from them in his Tesla before abandoning it at a dead end. The news release states he cut off his ankle monitor and ran from the car.
Deputies found him a short distance away and said a search warrant on his vehicle yielded an AR-15 pistol inside. On Tuesday, deputies used his ankle monitor to find him about a block away from the crashed trailer. The ankle monitor’s data showed he’d again violated a protection order the previous morning, the news release states. Forsyth was arrested Tuesday without incident and booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of domestic violence stalking. He is a co-owner of 3 Monkeys Tavern and Cliff’s Tavern, the sheriff’s office said.
