Vancouver police arrested a man Wednesday afternoon near Clark College who had outstanding warrants for murder and attempted murder from Washington County, Ore. Shortly after 3 p.m., a Vancouver police officer pulled over a car in the 1500 block of Fort Vancouver Way. After the driver gave the officer his ID, the officer discovered the driver’s outstanding warrants, according to police spokeswoman Kim Kapp. The driver then drove away, and officers pursued him a short distance before performing a PIT maneuver on his vehicle. The driver then ran from his car, Kapp said in an email. Officers arrested him, and Kapp said he will be booked into the Clark County Jail on the warrants. No one was injured, Kapp said. She did not identify the suspect.
