Two teenagers were arrested after police say they threatened a woman with a knife Saturday outside the Vancouver Mall and stole her vehicle. Vancouver police responded shortly after 3 p.m. to 8900 N.E. Vancouver Mall Drive for reports of a carjacking. A woman told officers she parked her vehicle and was walking toward the mall when two people approached her and demanded her keys. She said one of them had a knife and threatened her, according to a police news release. She said she handed them her keys out of fear for her safety, and they took off in her vehicle. She was not injured, police said. Shortly after the robbery, officers spotted the woman’s vehicle and tried to stop it. The teens drove away, and officers pursued them, the news release states.

The pursuit ended in Clackamas County, Ore., where police arrested a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old boy. They were booked into the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Center in Portland. Officers have entered an extradition warrant for the boys to face Clark County charges of robbery/carjacking, felony harassment, attempt to elude and possession of a stolen vehicle, according to the news release.
