Driver killed in single-vehicle crash on Padden Parkway in Orchards

A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday evening on Padden Parkway in the Orchards area, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded at about 6:40 p.m. after a witness called 911 to report an eastbound vehicle drove off the road in the 8400 block of Northeast Padden Parkway and crashed in a wooded area, the sheriff’s office said. Arriving first responders found the vehicle’s single occupant dead. The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s identification and cause and manner of death. The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office Traffic Unit. Anyone who witnessed the crash should contact Detective Michael Trueblood at michael.trueblood@clark.wa.gov.
