Vancouver police respond to convenience store robberies

Update: The Vancouver Police Department said Monday officers found the Kia Optima, unoccupied. Police returned the car to the owner. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Rodrigo Osorio at 360-487-7391. Vancouver police are searching for two or three male suspects in a stolen Kia Optima after a series of convenience store robberies Sunday. Officers responded to four gas stations in Vancouver that were reported to have been robbed between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. Sunday. The robbed locations include 7-Eleven, 9701 E. Mill Plain Blvd.; 7-Eleven, 410 N.E. 136th Ave.; Chevron, 16406 S.E. 26th St.; and Chevron, 1900 N.E. 162nd Ave. Building E. Suspects were reported to be armed with a silver handgun and obtained cash register money in all incidents. Money was taken from a safe in one of the robberies. Police request the public’s help in locating the stolen vehicle, a burgundy or dark-colored Kia Optima with Washington license plate BDK5599. If located, Vancouver police advise calling 911 immediately.
