Vancouver police are seeking the public’s help locating an elderly woman missing since Wednesday after employees at an adult care facility said she never returned from an event downtown. Police say Janice Meyers, 67, is a white woman with gray hair. She is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. Officers do not have a description of her clothing. Meyers might be experiencing short-term memory loss and requires medication, according to a news release. She could also be accompanied by a man named Steve, police say. He is a described as a white man in his late 70s or early 80s. He is bald and usually wears a Vietnam veteran hat. Employees at the care facility reported Meyers missing Friday after she reportedly was going to take the C-Tran bus to a downtown Vancouver event Wednesday. She planned to return Thursday, the police department said. Anyone who has seen Meyers since Wednesday or can identify Steve is asked to contact Detective Dewey at james.dewey@cityofvancouver.us or call 911.
