The Vancouver Police Department is continuing to investigate the Sunday disappearance and possible abduction of a 17-year-old Vancouver girl who was found later that day in Portland, according to a statement from the agency. Before being reported missing on Sunday, Deliah Charlson had last been seen between 7:30 and 8 a.m. leaving her home and walking to work at Kitchen Table, 709 N.E. 136th Ave., in east Vancouver Police said she sent her family a text saying she arrived at work, but employees said she didn’t show up. Charlson was found about 6:30 p.m. that day in an area of Portland unfamiliar to her, near Southeast 77th Avenue between Woodward and Tibbetts streets. Information suggests a 2000s black sedan may be a vehicle of interest in the case, according to Vancouver police.
Anyone in the area of Vancouver mentioned above on Sunday morning that might have information that could be helpful to police, or those with video surveillance of any persons or vehicles, should contact Vancouver police Detective Dewey james.dewey@cityofvancouver.us.
