Letter: City lacks priorities

By Michael Piper, VANCOUVER Published: April 21, 2023, 6:00am

Did anyone else get the flyer in the mail from the city of Vancouver about the danger of drinking public water due to PFAS (forever chemicals). No pregnant women, nursing women or infants should drink the water. OK. What about the rest of us? What about frail elderly population, immune-challenged individuals, the disabled? And everyone else? It seems clear from the lack of information (like how far are we over the recommended or legal limits) that the city is more worried about their liability than the risk to the population. Hmm. Not the right priorities for a municipality.
