Vancouver Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle will cut the ribbon on the new Esther Short Park playground at its grand opening at 11 a.m. Saturday in downtown Vancouver. The playground has all new equipment and play areas to replace the previous playground, which was destroyed by a fire in 2022. Attendees will receive a raffle ticket for items at the nearby Vancouver Farmers Market.
