Vancouver police closed the investigation Wednesday into the April 16 disappearance of a 17-year-old Vancouver girl, saying no one was charged and there is no risk to the public. Police were previously investigating the disappearance of Deliah Charlson as an abduction and asked the public for information about a vehicle of interest in the case. The department said Wednesday no suspects or vehicles were outstanding. “While it is important to always be aware of your surroundings, there is not an increased risk to the public,” the police statement said. Investigators released a missing person notice for the teen Sunday after her family said she sent them a text saying she arrived at work at Kitchen Table in east Vancouver, but employees said she didn’t show up. She was found at about 6:30 p.m. that day in an area of Portland unfamiliar to her, near Southeast 77th Avenue between Woodward and Tibbetts streets, according to previous police statements. Vancouver police did not release any further details about why the case was closed.
