A Vancouver woman was injured Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on state Highway 502 near Dollars Corner. The crash occurred at about 2 p.m. at the intersection of the highway and Northeast 50th Avenue, according to a Washington State Patrol crash memo. A 2014 Volkswagen Passat, driven by Rhonda R. McCann, was traveling south on Northeast 50th Avenue and entered the intersection in front of a westbound 2018 Kia Soul. The Kia hit the Volkswagen, which came to rest facing the wrong way and blocking lanes. The Kia came to rest on the left, the crash memo states. McCann, 53, of Vancouver was not injured. The Kia’s driver, Megan L. Pittman, 29, of Vancouver, was injured and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver. Both women were wearing seat belts, according to the crash memo. Troopers say they suspect drugs or alcohol were involved, but the crash remains under investigation. Both vehicles were totaled.
