At the Thursday hiring fair, Vancouver police Sgt. Danielle Wass said she was pleased with the amount of women who stopped by, saying that they are often intimidated by the job title. “We need anyone right now who’s willing to do that job. But I have noticed, we do have a lot of females who we have hired recently,” Wass said.
