Levi Kitchen’s return home did not end with the former Washougal resident on the podium. Meanwhile, Jett Lawrence’s hot streak continue. Kitchen placed fifth overall in the 250 Class Saturday as Haiden Deegan of Temecula, Calif., won both motos to claim first place. Kitchen grew up racing  at Washougal MX Park, but was making his first start as a pro motocross rider on Saturday. He had not raced at the track since 2019. Kitchen got off to a poor start and finished eighth in the first moto. He rallied to finish third in the second moto, resulting in the fifth-place overall finish.

Justin Cooper was second overall after a third-place finish and runner-up finish in both motos. Hunter Lawrence was third and R.J. Hampshire was fourth. Preston Boespflug of Battle Ground qualified for Saturday’s finish and placed 20th in the 250 Class. In the 450 Class, Jett Lawrence continue his perfect season by winning both motos to claim first place. The win was Lawrence’s eighth straight over all and his 15th and 16th moto wins in a row to start his 450 Class career.

Chase Sexton, who had won the 450 Class title at the Washougal National in 2021 and 2022 was second after finishing second in both motos. Jason Anderson was third, followed by Dylan Ferrandis and Aaron Plessinger. Kelso’s Robert Martin placed 34th in the 450 Class.
