IMAGE – The Clark County Newcomers Club presented a $8,261 check at its July Coffee to Dave Cole, the executive director of the Cascadia Tech Academy Foundation. Clark County Newcomers Club chose Cascadia Tech as its charity for 2023-2024 due to Cascadia’s work with high school students in 10 school districts in Southwest Washington. Cascadia Tech prepares high school students for career and technical jobs. Students can earn college credits as well as certifications and licenses specific to their program area. The club raised the money with raffles, a fashion accessories sale, Cow Pie Bingo and a donation from Beaches for half the cost of meals that were enjoyed by club members. Cascadia Tech Academy will continue to be CCNC’s charity during the 2024-2025 term.
