Furry Friends shows appreciation for volunteers

VANCOUVER — A volunteer appreciation event was held Aug. 24 for the volunteers for Furry Friends animal rescue. Furry Friends is a volunteer-run, nonprofit cat rescue that has about 200 volunteers who make sure the cats are taken care of, and the organization runs smoothly. Furry Friends staff and administration said in a press release that they are so appreciative of the volunteers’ efforts and the organization could not exist without them. Furry Friends serves Clark County and Southwest Washington. It was founded in 1999.
