The city of Vancouver is accepting applications for the 2025 Economic Prosperity and Housing grant funding cycle. The city anticipates that about $1.8 million will be available for eligible housing projects. The funds are available only for eligible nonprofit and public organizations, according to a city news release. Private individuals are not eligible for funding awards. The funds from the Community Development Block Grant (which supports low- to moderate-income residents) and the HOME Investment Partnerships program (which funds affordable housing initiatives) must benefit individuals experiencing homelessness or other vulnerable populations. This includes support for Safe Stay sites and similar programs. Additionally, the HOME American Rescue Plan Program also directs resources to these groups. Applications must be submitted online through the city’s grant-management system by 11:59 p.m. Oct. 20.
