Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools receives $20,000 grant
Money will support Career Connected Learning Internship Program

The Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools received a $20,000 grant from the U.S. Bank Foundation to support the Career Connected Learning Internship Program, according to a news release. Vancouver Public Schools students are provided opportunities to explore career pathways and vocational guidance while gaining job-readiness skills and experience outside the classroom. The news release stated that many students receive job offers after completing their internships. The local nonprofit was created in 1988 to improve educational and learning opportunities for Vancouver Public Schools students through mentorship, college-readiness preparation and more. Currently, it serves more than 22,000 youth in 40 schools and programs.
