Vancouver sailor serves aboard USS Carl Vinson

VANCOUVER — Aviation Machinist’s Mate 1st Class Elijah Adrian of Vancouver was recently photographed by the Navy while he instructed Aviation Electrician’s Mate 3rd Class Gabriel Treibs on maintenance of an E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft. The Hawkeye, a tactical aircraft, is part of the “Black Eagles” of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 113 currently aboard the USS Carl Vinson. Vinson, the flagship of the U.S. Navy’s Carrier Strike Group 1, is based in San Diego.
