Clark College plans Running Start information sessions Free
Program allows high school juniors, seniors to earn college credits

Clark College is hosting five Running Start virtual information sessions for high school students. Running Start is a program that allows juniors and seniors enrolled in a Washington public school to earn college credit by taking Clark College classes that also fulfill high school graduation requirements. Students participating in the program can graduate high school with an associate degree. The program expenses include books, transportation and course fees, which are subject to change by the Washington Legislature, according to the college’s news release. A fee waiver is available for individuals with financial need. Each session discusses eligibility, cost, enrollment steps, placement options and tips. Former Running Start students will talk about their experiences.
All sessions are over Zoom: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 3 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 12 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 9 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 24 Register at www.clark.edu/enroll/admissions/running_start/students.php.
