Clark County woke up to slick roads and freezing temperatures this morning. And Southwest Washington can expect more of the same, with some snow possible tonight. Side streets around the county were icy. Temperatures hovered around freezing at 7 a.m. with outlying areas in the mid-20s and 32 degrees measured at Pearson Airfield. There is a chance of snow in the morning with it mixing with rain after 11 a.m. The snow level will go to 800 feet in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Portland, but drop to 200 feet overnight, with low around 28.

We could see snow overnight in the lower elevations, though the weather service expects less than half an inch. The National Weather Service is warning of low temperatures consistently below freezing through Feb. 11 for the Interstate 5 corridor from Cowlitz County south to Eugene, Ore. Hypothermia and frost bite for unprotected skin are risks.
