As construction begins in downtown Vancouver, businesses are hoping their customers will brave the inconvenience to keep visiting Main Street. The city of Vancouver announced in 2022 plans to remake the 10 southernmost blocks of Main Street, a project 25 years in the making. The city ultimately unveiled plans to widen the street’s sidewalks and rid the area of its angled parking.
