WorkSource Southwest Washington will host a free hiring event from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Vancouver-based agency’s office, 204 Stonemill Drive, Suite 215. Job seekers can meet with representatives from Addus, Athena Home Care, DSHS Developmental Disabilities Administration, FedEx Freight, Hire Quest, Koelsch Communities, Live Nation, Merchant Concepts, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, Parr Lumber, TSA and the U.S. Postal Service. Companies will be looking to hire city drivers, certified nursing assistants, driver apprentices, part-time freight handlers, home health care workers, mail carriers, local Class C drivers, transportation security officers and window-installation technicians. WorkSource said candidates should dress for a job interview, bring copies of their resume and be prepared to interview with hiring managers.

WorkSource also encourages candidates to visit www.WorkSourceWA.com, where they can post or create a resume to gain exposure to additional companies that have openings, search for jobs, and learn about job training and placement services available through the agency.
