Letter: Ley violates law

John Ley said he closely examined the failed challenge to my candidacy for Port of Vancouver USA commissioner. The challenge failed because I followed the law. I leased an apartment and moved into it well before filing for office. I proudly ran to oppose the infamous crude oil terminal proposal. Monica Stonier moved from the 17th Legislative District to the 49th. She ran for office and has been an excellent state representative since. We each and all followed the rules. Mr. Ley did not. He is correctly convicted of election law violations. His apology is admirable. The claim of “actual innocence” … really?
