Kindergarten enrollment open at Vancouver Public Schools

Vancouver Public Schools’ 2025-26 kindergarten enrollment is now open. Children who will be 5 years old before Aug. 31 are eligible. Choice schools and program applications are due before 8 a.m. on May 12. Vancouver’s kindergarten options include neighborhood schools, the traditional option where children attend schools close to home, and dual-language programs in Spanish and Mandarin at select schools. The district also has three choice schools: Ruth Bader Ginsburg Elementary, a fully Spanish-English dual-language school; VITA Elementary, a project-based school; and Heights Campus, a learning option that supports individual needs. Heights Campus’ Virtual Learning Academy is mostly virtual for kindergarten through 12th grade learning. Vancouver Home Connection at Heights is a hybrid environment for kindergarten through eighth grade. The district is hosting events to learn more about the kindergarten options from March 3 to May 11 at each elementary school. More information can be found at vansd.org/elementary-options/.
