Shooting in east Vancouver leaves one person wounded, one in custody Updated 15 hours ago
One person was injured and a suspect is in custody after a shooting in east Vancouver late Sunday night, according to Vancouver police. Just before midnight, Vancouver police responded to a shooting at 11320 N.E. 49th St., according to a statement. Officers found a man who had been shot multiple times. The victim was taken to a hospital and was reported to be in serious but stable condition, according to police. Misael Dominguez-Naillon was identified by police as a suspect in the shooting. Police went to his home in the 4600 block of Northeast 112th Avenue in Vancouver. Dominguez-Naillon surrendered and was taken into custody.
He was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of first-degree attempted murder. A search of Dominguez-Naillon’s apartment and another associated apartment by detectives from the Crime Reduction Team and Major Crimes Unit yielded multiple firearms, including the handgun believed to have been used in the shooting, according to police. The Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
