Seeds and sounds Pianist Jordan Nylander will perform the world premiere of “The Old Apple Tree,” an original composition about Vancouver’s Old Apple Tree, at 6:30 p.m. Friday at St. Luke-San Lucas Episcopal Church, 426 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver. The concert also will feature works by Sibelius, Bach’s “English Suite No. 3 in G minor,” and other original music by Nylander. Come at 6 p.m. to hear an update about the church’s community and participate in a seed swap. Seed-swappers should bring a labeled envelope with seeds or a plant start. Admission is free. Child care will be provided for children 5 years old and younger. Tiny beautiful things Little Art Camas is an exhibit and sale of original small-scale artworks created by local artists of all ages. Green speed Why Racing Events will host the Couve Clover Run starting at 9 a.m. Sunday at 695 Waterfront Way, Vancouver. The Lucky Leap 1-mile walk has been added for those who want a shorter distance but still want a shirt, medal, food and beer. There is also an untimed 3-mile walk division. The post-event party will be hosted by Why Racing Events and downtown Vancouver pubs and breweries. The cost varies from $30 for the Lucky Leap to $80 for the 10-mile run.
