Woman dies of her injuries after serious crash in Battle Ground

A woman died after a two-vehicle crash near Main Street in Battle Ground on Wednesday, according to the city of Battle Ground. The woman’s identity has not been released. Battle Ground police responded to a crash on Southwest 20th Avenue just south of Main about 2:15 p.m., according to a statement from the city. One of the vehicles was turning south onto 20th Avenue from a private driveway when it was hit by a another southbound vehicle, according to the statement. Two people in one of the vehicles were badly injured and were taken to an area hospital by ambulance. One of the two died of her injuries.

The is no update on the condition of the second person in that vehicle or if there were injuries to any occupants of the other vehicle. The cause of the crash is under investigation. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit is assisting Battle Ground Police with the investigation. The scene was closed to traffic for several hours Wednesday for the investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant information is asked to contact the Battle Ground Police Department at 360- 342-5200.
