Other Business News The Battle Ground City Council unanimously approved renaming the Battle Ground Community Center the Battle Ground Event Center at the Feb. 18 meeting. “The city believes that the name ‘Battle Ground Event Center’ is more consistent with the present use of the facility,” Deputy City Manager Rob Ferrier said. In 2024, Battle Ground Parks & Recreation said there were 575 private event rentals at the facility. The 3,600-square-foot reception hall first opened in 2008. It features three indoor event spaces and an outdoor covered patio. The facility, 912 E. Main St., Battle Ground, has hosted meetings, conferences, banquets, weddings and parties. The event center also hosts several long-term rentals including Sunday services for a local church, regular meeting meetings of the Lewis River Rotary Club and monthly luncheons for area senior citizens, hosted by Battle Ground Senior Citizens Inc.

In addition to private rental groups, Battle Ground Parks & Recreation welcomes hundreds of visitors to the facility each year to take part in recreational programing such as yoga classes and YMCA Day Camps.
