Two arrested in slaying of Hazel Dell woman found dead in October
Victim’s grandson held on suspicion of first-degree murder
Clark County sheriff’s detectives arrested two people Friday in connection with the slaying of 78-year-old Patricia Jimerfield, who was found dead in October in her west Hazel Dell home. Jordan Sullivan, 31, of Vancouver was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder, the jail roster shows. Sullivan’s friend, Alyssa Williams, 30, of Vancouver, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder, according to the sheriff’s office. Williams was not yet listed on the jail roster Friday evening. Sullivan is Jimerfield’s grandson, the sheriff’s office said. Both Sullivan and Williams are also suspected of stealing from Jimerfield the night before she was killed and then fraudulently using her bank card, according to investigators. “Detectives have worked for several months to conduct interviews, execute search warrants, collect data, review evidence and wait for forensic laboratory results,” the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies and Clark County Fire District 6 responded to a medical call at 9:41 p.m. Oct. 8 at Jimerfield’s home on the corner of Northwest 26th Avenue and 99th Street. They found the woman dead inside, according to the sheriff’s office. There were no signs of forced entry or burglary at the home. The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office said Jimerfield was strangled with a ligature. The sheriff’s office previously said Jimerfield had been notified by her bank the morning of her death that there were pending fraudulent charges on her account. She discovered her wallet was missing and filed a fraud report with the sheriff’s office. Anyone with additional information in this investigation is asked to call the Major Crime Unit Tip Line at 564-397-2847.
