Letter: Light rail safe, beneficial

I am a 79-year-old woman who rides MAX, at night, several times a month. I’ve had conversations with lots of nice people and have never felt threatened. I am tired of hearing that Clark County doesn’t want light rail. No one asked me or the people I ride with. If you don’t like MAX, don’t ride it. As I pass you and your traffic jam, just realize that all of us on the train aren’t adding extra cars for you to deal with. My only suggestion would be to have it go north (maybe to the 99th Street Transit Center).
