Prep highlights (March 28): Five pitchers combine on shutout as Union beats Mountain View 3-0 in baseball

Five Union pitches combined on a four-hit shutout and Jacob Chandler drove in two of the three runs as the Union baseball team beat Mountain View 3-0. Blake Sutton and Mason Korhonen had the Titans’ other hits. Union will travel next week to San Diego to take part in the San Diego Lions Tournament. Stars of the day Julia Mullinix, Columbia-White Salmon softball, went 3 for 4 with two runs a triple and three RBI in the Bruins’ 14-2 win at Fort Vancouver. Peyton Lalande, Mountain View softball, went 4 for 4 with four runs, two home runs, seven RBI and walk in a 26-9 win over Corbett (Ore.).

Brooke Hefley, Kelso softball, went 3 for 4 with three runs, a double, home run and four RBI in a 13-8 win over River Ridge. Emma Barrow, Woodland softball, went 3 for 4 with three runs, two doubles and three RBI in a 14-5 win over La Center.
