As a combat veteran infantry officer, I am nearly speechless about the security breach by three cabinet secretaries and the vice president of the United States in this Yemen intelligence scandal. Imagine the surprise and horror of our men and women in the cockpits of our fighter bombers attacking Houthi targets when they realized that their entry and egress routes to their targets were lined with Houthi anti-aircraft missiles. Trump’s cabinet as good as set up an ambush of our pilots and crew when they discussed attacks on Houthis, including targets, timing, combat loads and coordination over an open Signal channel instead of where they belonged. It could easily have turned into a massacre. Is this really what MAGA supporters had in mind?
