Letter: Clark County is below average
Ashamed to admit I live in Clark County is an understatement. I have lived here for over 70 years. I drive from Camas to Salmon Creek three to four times a week and I am appalled at the garbage and the filth on our highways, not to mention everywhere else. Padden Parkway is atrocious. We live in a beautiful state. Why can’t we keep it that way? From what I remember, we used those that owed tickets or in jail to keep it clean. Evidently that isn’t in our budget. Maybe our county needs to hire someone to find a way, means or money to fix this. We visited Tennessee twice this last year and all the places we went were spotless. Why is it so hard? Why can’t the Ecology Department figure it out? On a scale of 1-10, I would give Clark County a 3, and that’s generous.
