Vancouver Clinic CEO Mark Mantei to retire at the end of 2025 Updated 20 mins ago

Health care provider to launch internal, national searches for new leader

Vancouver Clinic CEO Mark Mantei announced Tuesday that he will retire from his position at the end of the year. Mantei, 64, has served as CEO of Vancouver Clinic since 2015. During his tenure, Vancouver Clinic has grown from six clinic locations to 19, increased the number of clinicians from 300 to 520, and expanded its surgical and urgent care services, according to a news release. Vancouver Clinic is a physician-owned medical provider with more than 500 clinicians and 2,100 employees in Southwest Washington. “In making this announcement, I’m excited to spend time with my wife and family, enjoying our new granddaughter and spending more time doing the things we love,” Mantei said in the news release. “I’ll miss my Vancouver Clinic family, our staff and our patients. It has been a great honor and privilege to serve.” In the meantime, Mantei will work with Vancouver Clinic to launch an internal and external national search for a new CEO. He will work closely with the board and executive leadership team to ensure continuity and a supportive transition for the new CEO.

“Mark’s dedication and strategic vision have been instrumental in Vancouver Clinic’s growth, setting a strong foundation for the future,” board Chair Dr. Keren Rosenblum said. “Mark’s ‘lead with quality’ approach to health care will have a lasting impact on our patients and community.” Mantei began his career overseeing the emergency room and medical records at a trauma hospital in Detroit. Prior to becoming CEO at Vancouver Clinic, Mantei was the chief operating officer at The Everett Clinic for 26 years, where he helped grow the clinic from 50 clinicians to 500. “I’ve always believed that working in health care is a ‘calling.’ By that, I mean we are in it for a greater good and not just ourselves,” Mantei said.
